ABOUT THE MAK BRAND

MAK is one of the leading brands for fashion shoes in Bulgaria with its own production of women's shoes from high-quality, natural materials. We offer our collections both in our own stores and online. MAK's design studio, which also includes a production workshop, is located in Sliven, Bulgaria. Over 20 people work in production and sales.

OUR HISTORY

"MAK" is a modern story of a family venture that turned into a business, a story based on dedicated craftsmanship and a timeless love for creating great shoes. We draw inspiration from everything - from nature to architecture, as well as from all the interesting people crossing "MAK's" paths. Each collection is created for everyday style and comfort with great attention to harmonious elements, sustainable quality, and details that are important to us.

DIMITAR MONEV

The history of MAK begins with our founder Dimitar Monev, who was a designer at a local shoe factory where he gained knowledge and experience in shoemaking. In 1990, he decided to open his own shoemaking workshop in his native house in Sliven. There he made custom-made shoes and performed repairs. Later, he passed on all his knowledge to his children, and in 2000, they co-founded the family company MAK.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

The foundation of today's MAK shoes was built ten years later. From the very beginning, our vision was to become a global brand for connoisseurs of quality and fashion. By studying the craft and applying our philosophy of design and comfort, we started with the production of stretch shoes and were recognized as a manufacturer of comfortable and quality models. Starting in a shoemaking workshop with just a few people, today we are a team of over 30 professionals all involved in the production process. In 2010, MAK began producing shoes from high-quality natural leathers and materials, which define the brand today.

OUR DESIGN STUDIO

It all starts in our design studio in Sliven, Bulgaria. Here our ideas come to life. Here we make precise decisions about shapes, materials, and design. At MAK, we believe that an amazing shoe is the result of collective efforts, skills, and inspiration to create the perfect model. In our studio, we have the freedom to create and try out all our ideas, even the boldest ones! We also carefully monitor the journey of each product from production to transportation and distribution, ensuring that our customers receive the quality and comfort they deserve.
